Sandholdt Center Housing

The Sandholdt Center Housing is a cooperative housing unit, which accommodates
visiting researchers. Two houses are located on the Sandholdt Center Housing,
the North House and the South House. The South House is a two-bedroom home,
with each room accommodating up to 2 people. At times occupants are asked to
share the bedroom with the same gender, otherwise one guest occupies the house
at a time. The house is fully furnished with a kitchen that is fully equipped
with all your basic amenities, bedrooms are dormitory style with bunk beds and
a communal restroom. There is a shared washer and dryer available for both the
South and North House. A furnished patio that connects to the North House can
be used for social gatherings. 
Faculty SponsorsThe Sandholdt Center Housing is a resource for MLML. As such first priority goes to renters that are directly affiliated with MLML. Renters are asked to acquire a sponsor during their stay at the house. Sponsorship needs to be from a faculty member so renters feel they are part of an organization versus an outside visitor. Sponsorship may involve a faculty member to provide assistance to the front office administration should a renter fail to pay rent, clean their dishes, fail to return their keys, etc. A faculty member should only be willing to sponsor an individual that is fulfilling an institutional need. This individual may already have a collegial relation with the faculty sponsor, or the faculty may deem the renter's stay at the house as a promising relationship for the lab and its mission.
PetsPets of any kind are not allowed at the Sandholdt Center Housing facilities.
Rent
The “South House” can be rented on a daily (3 day minimum stay), weekly, and monthly basis. You can arrange the rent with May DeLuna-Schneider at the front office. Payments are accepted in the form of cash and personal check only.

Cell phone reception is generally good at the Sandholdt Center Housing. There is a phone in each bedroom and one available in the family room for use (please be sure to purchase an international calling card if needed).
There is wireless internet service on the Sandholdt Center Housing. As visiting researchers you will have access to the facilities resources.
